We've got some great news for family historians for the new year! From today, even more of the 1911 census can be viewed online. The census was released two years ago without personally sensitive information, such as details of infirmity, family relationships which would usually have been kept secret and information about very young children who were born in prison. This information is now available online with our partners findmypast.co.uk. For help on searching our records to find out about a person, use our handy research signposts and guides, all available free of charge on our website. You can also use Discovery, our new catalogue, to search the records that we hold. Digital copies of many records are available on our website too, including over 1 million wills.
Happy new year from everyone at The National Archives!
